Sports Spectrum Magazine
Originally called Sports Focus, the magazine now known as Sports Spectrum was launched in 1985. Acquired by PAO in late 2016, our media team has worked tirelessly over the past three years to enhance what has been a great tool to share the Gospel through compelling sports stories for more than 30 years. We have now hit our stride and are growing the footprint of Sports Spectrum. Though technology has limited our society’s collective engagement around print media, there is a refreshing demand today for the tactile experience of holding a magazine in your hands — especially one like Sports Spectrum, which has the potential to change one’s life and eternity.

The Sports Spectrum Podcast has been a great tool to reach people on a platform that has become more popular than ever. What began as once a week is now a three-times-a-week podcast that has reached 1.1 million downloads. We are able to bring on-demand audio content directly to consumers, and have athletes, entertainers, authors, speakers and others share how Jesus Christ has impacted their life. Our objective is simple: to bring the name of Jesus back into the conversation.

Football Sunday
Year 6 of Football Sunday proved to be the most exciting and Kingdom-building year yet! Football Sunday 2020 was hosted by Brock Huard and featured Benjamin and Kirsten Watson, Nate and Lexi Solder, and Prince Amukamara, but the vision for Football Sunday is greater than ever before.
After much prayer and discussion, we’re now not only providing a media resource that will equip pastors to impact their communities, but also providing life-giving resources that will help transform the lives of children living in abject poverty around the world. Think of it this way:
Impact locally. Transform globally.
To help accomplish this transformational ripple effect, we’re donating more than half the price of every FBS package sold to the ministry of Compassion International, a trusted ministry partner that continues to employ a love-driven strategy that is Christ-centered, child-focused, and church-based.

One definition of a movement states: A movement is a group of people with a shared purpose who create change together. It is made up of a strong pipeline of leaders, solid partnerships, powerful grassroots support, and a shared goal or plan for the future. All evidence today points to our women’s ministry being a movement across all pro sports. The combination of leaders and partners across entire leagues who share a vision to pursue Christ and His purposes fervently has changed the entire landscape of our PAO ministry model. We can’t wait to see what the next few years hold!
