Rod & Sheri Hairston
Pastor Rod Hairston is a dedicated husband to his wife Sheri, father of four, and shepherd with a commitment to helping people experience the transforming power of God in their lives and families. He’s excited to help people discover their worth and to walk in God’s amazing purpose for their lives, through a growing faith in Jesus Christ.
As the founding pastor of Messiah Community Church, Pastor Rod passionately engages people with practical teaching and encourages people to live authentic lives that make a difference. He believes a healthy and vibrant church community that emphasizes clear biblical teaching, emotional wholeness, and gracious community is the best way to transform lives. Of all the places one can go, the church should be the most creative, excellent, and exciting place in the community.

Josmel & Julissa LaFontaine
Josmel and Julissa LaFontaine serve as the chaplains for the New York Yankees. Married for 11 years, to what began as a friendship, they see the importance of cultivating friendship within marriage. Josmel serves as the lead pastor to New Hope Church in NYC and Julissa works for Redeemer City to City; a christian non profit training church planters and leaders in New York. They live in the Bronx with their two kids.
Mickey & Lisa Weston
Mickey and Lisa have been involved with professional baseball for the past 40 plus years. Mickey was drafted in 1982 by the New York Mets and played for 15 seasons. He and Lisa spent parts of 5 years in MLB with four different teams. Mickey serves as the Executive Director for Unlimited Potential Inc. (UPI) where he has been on staff for the last 30 years. Mickey and Lisa serve with Baseball Chapel in Chicago with the Chicago White Sox.
They attended their first PAO Conference as newlyweds in 1984 and have served on PAO’s Board of Directors since 1989. Mickey and Lisa have been married for 41 years. They have 4 grown children and are blessed with 8 grandchildren. They reside in Valparaiso, IN.

Brad & Beth Henderson
Brad and Beth Henderson currently serve as the team chaplains for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins. They also minister together on the staff of the Pittsburgh Kids Foundation. Brad and Beth have been married for 38 years. Together they raised three children (all married) and now have three grandchildren.
Gio & Suzy Llerena
Gio and Suzy Llerena have devoted their entire married life to faithfully serving the Lord and investing in others through discipleship and ministry. Their journey began in 1998 as volunteers with Baseball Chapel, where their shared passion for Christ and people quickly grew into a lifelong calling. In 2005, Gio joined the staff of Baseball Chapel, serving as chaplain for the Tampa Bay Rays through 2020. In addition to his local ministry, he provided oversight for Baseball Chapel’s International Ministries in Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Venezuela, while also recruiting and training Major League Baseball chaplains.
Together, Gio and Suzy have dedicated their lives to walking alongside players, their families, and countless couples, helping them grow in faith and strengthen their marriages. College sweethearts, Gio and Suzy are the proud parents of three grown children—Ashley, Daniel, and Jonathan—along with their son-in-law Charles, daughter-in-law Rachel, and two beloved grandchildren, Sophie and Bennet, with another on the way.
Today, Gio and Suzy continue their lifelong mission of equipping and encouraging couples through the ministry of Christian Family Life, where they serve both locally and globally to build strong, Christ-centered marriages.
