Jerrod Gunter has always had a heart for the youth, especially in the area of development and travels the country equipping students and young adults to be successful in every phase of life. He has developed several ministry programs, and consults and trains with youth ministries across the country to encourage students to be empowered through leadership, discipleship and their creative God-given gifts.

He has shared his passion and perception of youth culture with leaders at organizations such as Google, Stuff You Can Use, Impact 360, FCA, Dare2Share Ministries and Center for Youth Ministry Training. Jerrod initiated a youth movement called “Riotstarter” which equips students to take prayer and evangelism to their schools and communities, to start "righteous riots”. As a result of “Riotstarter,” teens have become devoted Christ-followers and hundreds of unsaved students have put their faith in Jesus.  His new book, Riotstarter, discusses how to create a counter-cultural movement of prayer to transform cities for Jesus Christ.
